What would we expect from you?
We are looking for highly talented, committed individuals who have a genuine thirst for learning. You’ll need to be disciplined when balancing the demands of your academic learning programme as well as the practical elements you’ll gain on the job. From day one we’ll expect you to engage with life at Sheffield Forgemasters, so you must enjoy working with others but you’ll also be trusted to work independently. Being able to communicate effectively is really important for all our apprentices. Maintaining high levels of quality is a priority for our customers and for us; therefore your training programme will be diligently followed through. In return we expect you to bring your full focus and attention to your work.
What do you do at Sheffield Forgemasters?
We manufacture some of the world’s largest steel castings and forgings, ranging from 1 to 350 tonnes. We produce a wide range of products for mills and presses, nuclear, defence, power generation, offshore oil and gas, and materials processing industries. This diversity of products allows us to offer a number of different opportunities across our business.
