Job Title: Operations Team Leader
Working Hours: 40 hours/week
Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible and accountable for the manufacture of quality products which meet production needs and Customer Specification and achieve profit and performance targets.
* Driving continuous improvement to maximise operational effectiveness and efficiencies through the development of people, process and systems
* Reduces any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
* Responsible for the performance and speeds of lines with the aim of maximising line efficiency.
* Monitor, control and report on the product quality of your area including product entering and leaving the area and the labelling of products.
* Responsible for effective shift change overs which includes paper work and machinery.
* Effectively manage the resources to ensure minimum downtime and maximum efficiency
* Liaise with all appropriate departments to ensure maximum efficiency and quality.
* Ensure development and training of operatives/Line Controllers
* Support planning and implementation of the detailed daily production programme for relevant department, reporting potential variances and problems directly and promptly
* Attend team meetings as required and contribute to good communication between management and operatives
* Any other duties that is required.
What you'll need
* Proven leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
* Awareness of Food Manufacturing Industry
* Good communication skills
* A Good level of the English Language
* Good PC skills
* Good attention to detail
* Good organisational skills
* Problem solving and decision making skills
* Continuous improvement approach
* Able to use own initiative
* First Aid certificate or willing to undergo training
