Currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Crime Solicitor (3-4 years PQE) to join the general crime department. This role will focus on private client matters, providing expert legal advice and representation to individuals facing criminal allegations.
Candidates with a background in legal aid work or experience in public law cases are encouraged to apply, as their expertise is highly valued and transferable to private client criminal matters.

Key responsibilities:
* Providing expert legal advice and representation to private clients on a wide range of criminal offences.
* Managing a caseload of private criminal matters independently, ensuring high standards of client care and legal excellence.
* Conducting client interviews, preparing case strategies, and advising clients on their legal options.
* Drafting legal documents, statements, and applications as required.
* Representing clients at police stations, court hearings, and other proceedings.
* Liaising with external experts, Barristers, and forensic specialists to support case preparation.
* Maintaining meticulous case records and ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
* Developing strong client relationships, understanding their needs, and providing clear communication throughout the case lifecycle.
* Contributing to the continued growth of the firm’s private client criminal practice.
