Job Description
We are seeking experienced Business / Data Analysts to join a leading Asset & Investment Management organisation on a multi-year Data Transformation Programme. This initiative is focused on reinventing and modernising the firm’s data platform and wider data estate, with a strong emphasis on forensic data analysis, migration, and decommissioning of legacy platforms .
Contract Details
* Duration: 6–12 months (initial, likely to extend into 2026)
* Location: Hybrid, London (3 days onsite per week)
Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed data and system analysis across objects, pipelines, data flows, and consumer use cases to support a phased decommissioning of legacy platforms.
* Analyse existing hierarchy models and data flows against new vendor solutions to define detailed scope, migration approach, and implementation plan.
* Perform forensic-style data analysis, including review of system logs and lineage, to validate dependencies and support migration away from legacy hierarchies.
* Assess and document data flows and capabilities to support consolidation of applications and re-sourcing data from the new strategic data platform.
* Translate complex technical findings into business-friendly documentation and act as a bridge between technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
* Support the definition of target operating models, migration strategies, and roadmaps to enable long-term transformation.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst within Asset & Investment Management (buy-side essential).
* Strong hands-on skills in data mapping, lineage, migration analysis, and system-to-system data flows .
* Comfortable with forensic-style analysis, including log-level review, data validation, and detailed dependency mapping.
* Ability to operate both at the deep technical analysis level and in translating complex detail into clear, actionable outcomes for stakeholders.
* Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data integration within financial services.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across front, middle, and back office.
* Agile/hybrid delivery methodology experience.
