Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with expertise supporting children with ADHD and Autism?

Are you ready to support children that need you most?Randstad Education is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic primary school central Leeds. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with specific learning needs, working alongside a supportive and experienced team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully supporting children with ADHD and Autism, demonstrating a deep understanding of their individual needs and appropriate strategies.Key Responsibilities:

* Providing high-quality, one-to-one and small group support to pupils with ADHD and Autism.
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual learning styles and needs.
* Implementing individual education plans (IEPs).
* Supporting students with their emotional, social, and behavioural needs using evidence-based strategies.
* Communicating effectively with the class teacher, support staff, parents/carers, and other professionals involved in the child's education.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress, ensuring confidentiality.
* Contributing to a positive and stimulating learning environment that fosters inclusion and understanding.

Essential Criteria:

* Proven experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant in a UK primary school setting.
* Significant experience supporting children with ADHD and Autism.
* A strong understanding of the characteristics of ADHD and Autism and appropriate intervention strategies.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and behaviour management skills, demonstrating empathy and patience.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
* A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
* A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Desirable Criteria:

* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN (e.g., Team Teach, specific training in ADHD and Autism).
* Experience using visual supports and other strategies to support communication and learning.
* Knowledge of specific educational programs or initiatives used to support children with ADHD and Autism.
