We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high quality care to individuals living at Bennfield House in Thorne. Duties
* Assisting residents with personal care tasks such as bathing and dressing
* Supporting residents with mobility and daily activities in accordance with individual care plans
* Providing companionship and emotional support to residents
* Assisting with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and any changes in resident conditions
* Communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalised care
* Supporting residents with light housekeeping tasks to promote a clean and safe environment
Requirements
* Experience working within a care home or home care environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
* Knowledge of care plans and the ability to follow them accurately
* Good IT skills for maintaining documentation and communication records
* Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
* Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting others' wellbeing
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Flexibility to work various shifts including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required (night shifts are available)
