The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced FPGA & DSP Engineer to join a highly regarded engineering consultancy delivering cutting-edge solutions across radar, communications, and advanced sensing technologies.
This is a technically challenging role where you will work on a diverse portfolio of projects, contributing to the development of innovative IP and customer-led solutions. You will be involved across the full lifecycle, from concept and architecture through to validation and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design and implement high-quality FPGA and DSP solutions
2. Contribute to system architecture, design reviews, and technical decision-making
3. Work closely with multidisciplinary teams across hardware, software, and systems
4. Engage with customers on technical discussions and early-stage solution development
5. Support project planning, including proposals and time estimates
6. Identify and manage technical risks effectively
7. Mentor junior engineers where appropriate
8. Maintain clear and structured technical documentation
Skills & Experience Required
9. Strong experience in FPGA development using HDL (VHDL or Verilog)
10. Experience with AMD (Xilinx) Vivado toolchain (or equivalent FPGA platforms)
11. Solid grounding in Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
12. Experience working across the full FPGA development lifecycle
13. Exposure to Zynq SoC devices is highly desirable
14. Understanding of RF systems or communications is advantageous
15. Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams
