Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer - South East / Surrey / Hampshire / Berkshire
Alarm Communications Limited is a leading team of fire protection, commercial security and building management systems specialists, with our Head Office located in Surrey. Our client base includes prestigious buildings and landmarks such as high‑end hotels, stadia and education establishments in and around Greater London. We are looking to appoint a new Fire & Security Engineer specifically covering the South East London area.
Responsibilities
* Work with the established team in the area, looking after a selection of key accounts across Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial and Stadia sectors.
* Complete maintenance, reactive works, small works and projects on large‑scale networked fire alarm systems (e.g., Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Avigilon, Axis, Bosch, Axxonsoft, Milestone, Salto, Assa Abloy, ACT, Plan, Paxton, Galaxy, Texecom, Cortech).
* Take ownership of a select portfolio of prestigious Healthcare and Education sites, ensuring effective maintenance and performance of networked fire alarm systems.
* Identify system improvements, recommend remedial and upgrade opportunities, and contribute to continuous service enhancement.
* Participate in regular review meetings with the Contract Manager and build strong, collaborative relationships with end users to ensure a high‑quality customer experience.
* Mentor apprentices and junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
* At least 2 years’ experience as a Fire Alarm Maintenance Engineer.
* Experience maintaining multi‑panel networked fire alarm systems.
* Customer‑oriented mindset with the ability to adapt and respond to clients in different situations.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
* Passion to continue learning and developing skills.
* Desire to install and maintain systems to the highest standards.
