Are you an experienced leader with a background in asset management and project delivery? We’re looking for an Asset Projects Team Leader to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based in Edinburgh, with the flexibility of hybrid working, this is a key leadership role focused on the delivery of high-quality asset services.
About the Role:
As the Asset Projects Team Leader, you will lead the Asset Projects team and take ownership of several technical and specialist functions, ensuring they are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and to a high standard. Your leadership will support the planning, execution, and oversight of a wide range of asset-related projects and services.
You will be specifically accountable for:

Asset Management Planning – Developing and implementing long-term strategies for property investment and maintenance.

Procurement Management – Leading procurement activities to ensure value for money and regulatory compliance.

Asset Project Management – Managing capital projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Common Repair Service Management – Coordinating common repairs and working closely with property owners and stakeholders.
*
Asbestos Management – Ensuring robust asbestos compliance and risk management procedures are in place and adhered to.
About You:
We’re seeking a proactive and organised professional with:

A strong background in asset or project management, preferably within housing, local authority, or a similar environment.

Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing service delivery across technical functions.
*
Knowledge of procurement and compliance standards relevant to property services.
*
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
*
A relevant professional or technical qualification (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) is desirable.
