We are committed to delivering a high-quality, safe, and sustainable road network for our communities.We are seeking an Officer to join our Traffic & Road Safety Team, supporting casualty reduction and network improvements across the county.What we do:Reduce road casualties through the annual Traffic & Road Safety Programme, including:Active and sustainable travel projectsTraffic and safety improvementsSpeed management schemesRenew and maintain traffic signs and road markingsInvestigate and respond to public enquiries about traffic and road safety About the RoleSupporting a Senior Officer in delivering traffic and road safety services across the Oxford City district. Key duties include:Inspecting and maintaining the signs and lines networkPreparing work details and overseeing contractorsResponding to enquiries and coordinating with councillors and the publicAssisting with programme delivery for projects like crossings, speed limits, and signageThe role is based at County Hall, Oxford, with flexible and agile working options. Site visits for inspections and project supervision are required.
