Women's Support Worker Swansea Full-time, temp | £13 per hour on-call enhancements Regular evening/weekend work participation in 24-hour on-call rota This role is office based in Swansea City Centre THIS IS TEMP UNTIL MARCH 2026 We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Community VAWDASV Specialist (Adults) to join our team, supporting women affected by domestic abuse. This is a hands-on role where you'll provide emotional and practical support to help women make informed choices, regain independence, and build safer futures for themselves and their families. What you'll do: Support women in the community through 1:1 sessions, group work, and outreach. Develop tailored support plans, helping women access housing, benefits, healthcare, legal services, and employment opportunities. Deliver empowering programmes such as the Freedom Programme and Recovery Toolkit. Work in partnership with other agencies to address complex needs, including mental health, substance use, and housing challenges. Promote service user involvement and co-production in shaping services. What we're looking for: Experience supporting women with diverse social and emotional needs. Understanding of domestic abuse, its causes, and long-term effects. Strong communication, advocacy, and organisational skills. Ability to manage challenging situations calmly and professionally. Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties. It's a bonus if you have: The ability to speak Welsh or another language. A driving licence and access to a vehicle.
