This agronomist position at the Dyson Farming Research Centre provides strategic leadership for agronomy, ensuring the work of the 1,000‑acre research farm delivers practical, actionable value for Dyson Farming and its partners.
Requirements
* Provide strategic leadership for agronomy at the Dyson Farming Research Centre, a dedicated 1,000‑acre research farm in Nocton, Lincolnshire.
* Turn research outcomes from the Dyson Farming Research Centre into clear, usable guidance for Dyson Farming Research members, stakeholders, and internal Dyson Farming teams.
* Support the delivery of precision farming projects across the business, ensuring data-driven tools and technologies are used effectively to guide decisions, optimise input use, and improve crop performance.
* Work closely with farm managers, agronomists, and external trial partners to ensure that the Dyson Farming Research Centre content remains practical and directly informs operational decisions.
Person specification
* Proven experience in commercial farming, agronomy, or agricultural consultancy.
* Strong technical background in crop management.
* BASIS and FACTs qualified.
* Excellent communication skills, with experience communicating technical content for diverse audiences.
* Comfortable working in both field and office environments.
* Comfortable working across disciplines, from crop management to drone technology, no two days are the same.
* Full driving licence
