Position Summary
Implement physical therapy programs and provide physical therapy treatment to clients to facilitate increased independence and functioning under the supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
Core Competencies
* Carry out established plan of care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
* Initiate frequent communication with the primary PT regarding patient abilities, limitations, and unexpected changes.
* Collaborate with the PT to adjust treatment procedures when patient status changes.
* Document patient care, education, and unit of service information objectively and promptly.
* Strive to achieve the patient’s optimal outcome.
Position Responsibilities
* Implement individualized treatment plans as defined by the primary Physical Therapist.
* Provide individual physical therapy treatments.
* Assist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
* Organize and facilitate treatment groups in consultation with the Physical Therapist.
* Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to develop programs and activities consistent with client needs.
* Maintain accurate documentation for all clients treated.
* Participate in client care, staffing, and other meetings as a representative of Physical Therapy.
* Adapt to staffing needs within HSL Therapy Programs.
* Follow HSL and departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.

* Keep a clean work environment.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
* Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
* Current Physical Therapy Assistant MA Licensure.
Physical Requirements
* Engage with patients under various circumstances, including exposure to odors, sights, and sounds.
* Handle unpredictable situations.
* Risk of exposure to infections, contagious diseases, and blood‑borne pathogens.
* Use PPE such as gloves, gown, and mask as necessary.
* Stand or walk for prolonged periods.
* Lift, position, transport, and/or transfer patients and supplies.
* Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching as required.
Salary Range
$57,963.00 - $86,945.00
