Senior Occupational Therapist – Band 6, Full Time
Team: East Pennine Home Based Treatment Team
Base: Pendle House, Nelson
Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward‑thinking qualified Occupational Therapist to join the East Pennine Home Based Treatment Team based in Nelson. The post will be supported by a network Occupational Therapy Clinical Specialist and will involve clinical Occupational Therapy provision within a multidisciplinary adult acute setting for service users experiencing mental health difficulties requiring home‑based treatment.
Responsibilities
* Provide Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions to support recovery within home treatment.
* Supervise junior staff and assist in local developments related to Occupational Therapy services across the Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.
* Participate in Occupational Therapy Best Practice Forums and shadowing opportunities with other home‑based treatment teams within the trust.
* Work as an able team worker with excellent communication skills, effective time‑management and a compassionate approach to others.
* Collaborate within a busy multidisciplinary environment and contribute to achieving high standards of care.
Qualifications & Experience
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with experience or strong interest in mental health.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with a proven ability to work effectively in busy settings.
* Experience in supervising junior staff or managing occupational therapy service developments.
* Demonstrated commitment to best practice and continuous professional development.
