The Opportunity

You will have the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of projects including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, etc.
As a Design Manager, you will partner with clients across the UK&I to develop innovative and sustainable solutions that address industry-wide challenges in efficiency and environmental impact. You will oversee the FEED and detailed design processes for the civil aspects of substation projects, including refurbishments, extensions, and new builds. You will foster a collaborative and supportive work environment where your team can thrive as well as contributing to the continued growth and success of Stantec's Energy sector teams.

Responsibilities
* Partner with clients across the UK&I to develop innovative and sustainable solutions addressing efficiency and environmental impact.
* Oversee FEED and detailed design processes for civil aspects of substation projects (refurbishments, extensions, and new builds).
* Lead and mentor design teams and collaborate across disciplines to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Contribute to the growth and success of Stantec's Energy sector teams.
* Engage in a broad range of projects across the energy sector, including energy from waste, solar, interconnectors, windfarms, substations, OHL, energy building design, protection systems, LVAC, pump stations, and more.
About You / Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering (or related field).
* Strong experience in the energy sector with a background in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related disciplines.
* Proactive and able to coach and mentor juniors; capable of cross-collaboration across the business; engaged with the engineering community and industry best practices.
* Proven experience in design management of energy projects from concept to completion; in-depth knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive environmental impact.
