We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Estimating Assistant to join the team in a renamed precision client and support the Technical Manager in delivering cost-effective and accurate quoting and contract review solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support purchasing, contract reviews, and NPI transitions using our MRP/ERP system.
Liaise with engineers to gather information on materials, tooling, fixturing, and routing.
Communicate with customers regarding drawing queries and programming models.
Coordinate inspection requirements and order necessary equipment or tools.
Complete contract reviews and ensure smooth project handovers to planning/scheduling.
Generate KPIs and promote a "right first time" mindset within the department.
Identify and input accurate costings for labour, materials, subcontracting, and tooling.
Maintain routing accuracy and documentation within ERP systems.
Suggest improvements to processes and identify inefficiencies or issues.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
Proficient in MRP/ERP systems with strong administrative skills.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM drawings and 3D models.
Excellent communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to suggest and implement solutions.
UK Driving Licence is required.
