Hays are pleased to be working with a local manufacturing business who are looking for temporary support on a 6-month assignment.
Your new role
1. Produce monthly management accounts in collaboration with the Finance Business Partner.
2. Lead the finance team during the Finance Business Partner’s absence, including direct liaison with the General Manager and Department Managers when required.
3. Collate and prepare financial data for distribution to relevant departments.
4. Oversee the internal EDI system for overhead invoices, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date accounts payable records.
5. Prepare consignment stock declarations and associated invoicing.
6. Manage customer invoicing, including export invoicing to grouppanies, and storage recharge billing.
7. Maintain and support the Business Intelligence reporting system – Maintain BI reporting.
8. Review daily stock adjustments to ensure accuracy and integrity.
9. Maintain strong working relationships between Shared Services to ensure accounts payable records remain current and GRNI accuracy is upheld.
10. Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing and providing requested documentation.
11. Process ad‑hoc payments as required.
What you'll need to succeed
12. Strong attention to detail with amitment to delivering accurate reporting.
13. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
14. Solid understanding of financial KPIs and ratios, particularly those related to inventory.
15. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
16. Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
17. Part‑qualified (AAT) or qualified by experience.
18. Experience within logistics or stockholding environments would be beneficial.
