Your future team:
The Health & Safety Officer will report directly into the Health & Safety Manager, and will be responsible for supporting with influencing, improving and reporting on the health and safety performance and culture at ROCKWOOL UK.

What you bring:
9. NEBOSH general certificate
10. Good knowledge of UK H&S legislation
11. Understanding of ISO management systems
12. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
13. Auditor training and experience
14. IT Literate e.g. Microsoft Office etc.
15. Capable of working well in a team
16. The ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders
What you will be doing:
17. Undertaking occupational health & hygiene monitoring including dust and fume monitoring, noise surveillance and Legionella sampling
18. Arranging for external consultants to carry out formal monitoring/surveys (e.g. LEV, occupational exposure, noise, fire suppression systems, asbestos, manual handling, vibration etc.) and work with the H&S Manager to instigate improvements
19. Booking necessary novice/refresher external training courses (e.g. forklift truck, hoist, confined space, breathing apparatus, loading shovel, first aid etc.) when required for relevant staff
20. Maintaining RockSHE (internal database) as a super user and undertake investigations into SHE incidents
21. Checking and demonstrating compliance with legislation and internal standards (Group MMRs)
22. Assisting in the recording and monitoring of H&S key figures at department and company levels
23. Undertaking and supporting the development of risk assessments
24. Undertaking site inspections on a regular basis to identify and address non-conformances
25. Delivering relevant H&S training and inductions
26. Assisting with the development and continued improvement of site management systems (specifically ISO 45001, but also ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001)
27. Acting as an internal auditor for the management system
