What the Job Involves As a Forensic Social Worker and Approved Mental Health Professional, you will: Conduct Mental Health Act Assessments and provide a social work service to adults in community settings. Coordinate and carry out assessments for mentally disordered offenders. Develop support plans and work collaboratively with multi-agency partnerships. Supervise and mentor other social workers and AMHP trainees. Maintain compliance with all legislation and policies while delivering high-quality care. Present reports and analyses in statutory and court settings as needed. Participate in service planning and improvement initiatives. Skills Social Work Degree or equivalent (HCPC Registered) Warranted Approved Mental Health Professional Excellent understanding of Mental Health and Care Legislation Strong organizational and report-writing skills Proficiency in developing and maintaining professional networks Advanced communication and inter-disciplinary teamwork abilities Coaching and mentoring capabilities Experience in complex casework within multi-agency environments
