Job Description
We are looking for motivated and hands-on Manufacturing Technician to join a team based in Leeds. This Manufacturing Technician role is ideal for someone at an early stage of their career who is keen to gain practical experience in a manufacturing and R&D environment, or who can bring experience from a similar setting. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will support production activities, assist with equipment preparation, and help maintain organised and safe workspaces.
This is role is initially a temporary contract, with the potential to become permanent dependent on performance!
Roles & Responsibilities of Manufacturing Technician:
Assisting with the assembly of robotic systems and related equipment
Preparing materials and cutting conductors for testing and product samples
Cleaning and maintaining manufacturing machinery and tools
Organising, labelling, and storing parts and materials
Supporting the packing, transport, and setup of equipment for testing and deployment
Assisting engineers during lab tests and prototype builds
Keeping basic records of parts usage and equipment checks
Following health and safety procedures, including PPE requirements
Taking part in workplace organisation and continuous improvement activitiesQualifications & Experience Required from Manufacturing Technician:
An interest or some exposure to manufacturing, production, or workshop environments and be keen to learn and follow instructions accurately.
Be practical, reliable, and well organised, with good attention to detail and a positive attitude toward hands-on work.
Experience with hand tools, workshop equipment, mechanical or electrical systems, or site-based work is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
