Job Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality social work services to children and families in Portsmouth.
* Conduct assessments and develop care plans to ensure the welfare and safeguarding of children.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive support to clients.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and interventions.
* Participate in regular supervision and training to ensure continuous professional development.
* Advocate for the needs and rights of children and families within the community.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Person Specifications
* Qualified Social Worker with a degree in Social Work or equivalent.
* Registered with Social Work England.
* Minimum of three years post-qualifying experience in social work with children and families.
* Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
* Proven ability to handle complex and sensitive cases with empathy and professionalism.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to the Portsmouth Code of Conduct.
