Specialists in providing engineered above ground drainage and water supply systems, Polypipe Building Services leverages offsite fabrication to design and deliver solutions to mechanical and public health engineers, M&E contractors, as well as local authorities. Polypipe Building Services houses well-known industry brand Terrain and has been delivering systems to commercial, high-rise residential, healthcare, education, and leisure projects for over 50 years.
Role: To support the efficient running of the Fabrication department by managing support functions and services within the department.
Housekeeping and area management alongside SSW adherence are critical functions in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Checking material deliveries against delivery notes and booking quality sheets on IFS.
* Preparing wood frames for finished fabricated items.
* Ensuring components are ready and located line-side for fabrication.
* Booking and labelling shop orders post-production, transporting to dispatch areas, and returning unused components to the warehouse.
* Supporting fabricators with lifting and handling materials.
* Booking shop orders on IFS, including product labelling and loading into stillages or boxes.
* Assembling stillages with hand tools, demonstrating practical skills.
* Adhering fully to H&S systems for all tasks.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace.
Skills and Requirements:
* Understanding basic warehouse processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IFS.
* Driving licence for MHE or willingness to be trained.
* Knowledge of IFS warehouse, shop floor control, and stock control (training provided if needed).
* Flexibility and willingness to learn new skills.
Working Hours & Benefits:
* Monday - Thursday, 7:00am - 3:00pm; Friday, 6:00am - 12:00pm.
