And due to this growth, we are now looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Technician to join our growing, dynamic Technology team. Our Technology team are fully committed to providing exceptional service by placing the users experience at the heart of everything they do, whilst creating a culture where you can thrive and do your best work. Reporting to our Service Desk Team Leader and based at our Bristol City Centre office, you will play a key role in delivering 2nd Line, End user compute and Desktop Support to approx. 1350 users covering cutting edge hardware, software and infrastructure technologies. You will have the opportunity to combine both end-user support with more technical hands-on troubleshooting, making the move into a more technical environment as part of your personal development and growth in the Company. Whilst we are advertising this role for our Bristol office, you could equally be working in our Plymouth office, as the role will require regularly travel between these 2 offices. The role: Provide timely technical support to a diverse group of onsite and off-site Ridge employees Based at our Bristol City Centre office with occasional travel to other client sites Responding to incidents and requests logged in a modern ITSM system, responding, and resolving tickets in line with the companys SLAs Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues including desktop, telephony, network maintenance, and printing errors, and carry out daily checks You will also ensure that the computers you are responsible for are complaint with Cyber Essential Plus whilst also following ISO 27001 policies Support and install hardware, software, and mobile devices, and have the opportunity to administer servers and gain insight into infrastructure-based technology About you and your skills The successful 2nd Line IT Support Technician will need to be self-motivated, conscientious, methodical, and organised, with the ability to liaise with clients at all levels of Ridge, whilst always demonstrating excellent customer service You will possess a logical approach to problem solving and will already be experienced in a similar role Working knowledge of Windows 10, MS Server 2019/2022, MS Office 365 Active Directory/Entra ID & Group Policy administration experience IP networking & telephony, DNS, DHCP experience Strong understanding of Server, network and desktop hardware A full UK driving licence is essential
