Elm Tree MedicalCentre is recruiting for a Newly Qualified Salaried GP under the ARRS role, bringingwith it an attractive renumeration package!

Due to an increased patient list size at the practice,we are seeking to recruit an ARRS Salaried GP to join our well organised, progressivepractice team. Elm Tree welcomes newly qualified GPs (including those awaiting CCT) to apply, or havingobtained your Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Practicewithin the last two and not having had a substantivepost.

The Salaried GP we are seeking, is a highly motivated, enthusiastic individualwith a strong work ethic who thrives on working as a part of a democratic teamand has professionalconduct that encourages quality practice and the development of team spirit. You will be joining a supportive team, with some supervision provided if required. We currently have 3 trainers, including a Training Programme Director.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will carry out all the duties reasonably expected of an NHS general practitioner using the standards expected by the GMC and RCGP in line with appropriate national and/or local guidelines.

Professional conduct that encourages quality practice and the development of team spirit. Duties to include:

* F2F Patient consultations
* Telephone consultations
* Dealing with queries
* Checking/signing repeat prescriptions
* Minimal admin - no filing bloods or letters.
* Supportive and collaborative team-working and participation in regular meetings.
* Adhere to the practice prescribing formulary, local and national guidelines.
* Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
* Record clear and contemporaneous I.T. based notes to agreed standards in patient records.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Salaried GP to become a key member of the Practice team.

Job description will include:

* Managing a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting.
* Commitment to providing high quality Primary Care to patients along with a genuine interest in the future development of General Practice.
* In accordance with the practice agreed sessions, the post-holder will undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, with minimal admin (no filing results or letters).
* Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation
* Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness, and providing health education.
* Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols
* Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate
* Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards
* Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever this is clinically appropriate.

In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* MBBS
* MRCGP Qualifications


Experience

* A medical practitioner whose name is included in the General Practitioner Register under article 10 of the General and Specialist Medical Practice Order 2003
* Not subject to suspension under section 41A of the Medical Act 1983
* Newly Qualified General Practitioner (completed certificate of Completion of Training CCT within the last two years)
* Currently on NHS Performers list and not suspended from that list or from the medical register
* DBS clearance
* Evidence of time-relevant revalidation/appraisal cycle
* Experience of working in primary care/GP Practice


Disclosure and Barring Service Check

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.

£10,500 a sessionper session per annum - 4 to 6 sessions
