We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician role at HMP Lewes to join our team. HMP Lewes is a category B male prison located near the centre of the historical town of Lewes, which is just a 5 minute walk away. The site features both a pharmacy and a dispenser, supported by a highly skilled and cohesive team of six. Due to ongoing growth, we are looking to expand the team by adding six more technicians, creating a group of 12. The site provides excellent opportunities for L&D, as well as career advancement through ACPT training. Hours
Monday-Thursday 07:30-17:30 (-30min break)
Friday 07:30-17:00 (-30min break)
Saturday and Sunday 08:00-17:00 (-30min break)
Salary
This position is at a bank rate of £21.76 an hour.
Eligibility and Vetting
Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
What You'll Be Doing
You will hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPHC) to be considered for this role. You will also have relevant post‑qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi‑disciplinary team.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £21.18 an hour FTE — depending on experience.

Qualifications Required
* NVQ Level 3, or above, BTEC or equivalent
* Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
* Up to date with Continual Professional Development (CPD)
* Relevant post‑qualification pharmacy experience
* General GCSE education or equivalent
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
