Role: Programme & Events Co-ordinator
Responsible to: Engagement and Training Manager
Purpose of Role: Co-ordinate the delivery of programmes and key events
Salary: £25,875 per annum
The Northern Ireland Boys’ Brigade (BBNI) works with 11,350 boys and young men aged 4 – 18 through 243 BB companies in Northern Ireland and Donegal.
BBNI companies are led by over 2,600 volunteer leaders who aim to positively impact young lives and share the love of Jesus. Our vision is to ‘raise generations of Christ-like men’, and our mission is ‘The advancement of Christ's Kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness’.
About The Role:
The Programme is the core framework of activities within BBNI, aimed at achieving core badges. It encompasses six activity areas used across all age groups:
* Get Active
* Get Adventurous
* Get Creative
* Get into the Bible
* Get Involved
Each activity area has clear aims and themed suggestions to help leaders plan a balanced and varied programme. BBNI offers a wide range of programmes, including core badge work, major awards, competitions, scripture courses, and thematic resources to meet the emerging needs of children and young people. We also partner with external organizations to enrich our programmes. Our ultimate goal is to help children become confident, compassionate, and committed followers of Jesus, equipped to live out their faith daily.

Note: Due to the nature of the role, some evening and weekend work may be involved. Candidates are not required to have prior knowledge of Boys’ Brigade. Skills Needed: Managerial / Operational, Servicing, People
Desired Criteria:
* Third level education
* Experience in youth/children's ministry or volunteering
* Experience in coordinating volunteers
* Experience chairing meetings and organizing arrangements
* Ability to create and manage a budget
Required Criteria:
* 1-2 years experience in coordinating and delivering events
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Confidence in delivering presentations/talks
* Experience in developing programmes and resources for children and young people
* Aptitude for learning new procedures and IT packages
* Good command of written English
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Proven experience in project delivery from conception to completion
* Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Positive attitude and approach
* High accuracy and attention to detail
* Alignment with the vision, mission, and values of The Northern Ireland Boys Brigade
* Driving license is essential due to role requirements
