What You'll Be Doing as a Quality Engineer
* Review customer and contract requirements to ensure compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
* Verify the configuration and conformity of complex hardware, both physically and through electronic data review.
* Prepare and maintain project quality documentation, from initial planning through to acceptance.
* Lead First Article Inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs).
* Carry out internal and supplier audits to ensure process, procedure, and contract compliance.
* Manage the internal audit schedule and track corrective actions.
* Lead root cause analysis, 8D problem solving, and continuous improvement activities.
* Support lessons learned, reviews, and quality investigations to drive lasting improvement.
What You'll Need as a Quality Engineer
* Proven experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within an electro-mechanical or defence-related engineering environment.
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, wiring schedules, and specifications.
* Experience with auditing and compliance (internal auditor certification preferred).
* Knowledge of 8D, RCA, and continuous improvement methods.
* Confident communicator, highly organized, and able to work independently.
* Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, right-first-time approach.
* Recognized qualification in Quality Assurance (C&G 743, IQA A3, Lead Assessor, or equivalent) desirable.
* Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC).
