Inside Sales Representative
Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join a chemical business based in Basingstoke. Our client is looking for an individual who can drive revenue growth and manage smaller and undercapitalised accounts.
Responsibilities as an Inside Sales Representative:
Execute inside sales activities aligned to commercial goals: customer segmentation.
Prioritisation of inbound vs outbound opportunities
Growth of existing accounts, cross/upsell, and new customer acquisition via inside channels.
Manage customer interactions via phone, email, and web.
Respond to inquiries, sample requests, quotes, and contracts in a timely manner; coordinate with external sales and internal teams.
Support product launches: communicate value propositions, pricing, and collateral to customers; collaborate with product management and R&D.
Collaborate with sales, product management, and technical teams
Share market and customer intelligence, support strategic accounts, and contribute to territory/segment plans.
Maintain CRM, update pipeline data, ensure accuracy of customer information, and use CRM tools to manage opportunities effectively.
Requirements for this position:
A minimum of 3 years of inside sales experience
Experience in a chemical industry
Degree in Business, Sales, Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Ability to apply value selling in specialist context
ERP experience
The Inside Sales Representative Role:
Fully office based in Basingstoke
Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5pm and Friday 8.30am – 4pm
£37,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
