As a Dietitian, you will support service users within the hospital’s secure mental health and learning disabilities services with a range of conditions, working as part of a multi-professional team.
You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the dietetic service across the hospital, supporting the implementation of the Hospital’s Nutrition and Hydration Strategy, and helping people make healthier choices regarding eating and drinking.
With experience managing a caseload, you will conduct assessments, plan, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes aligned with care plans.

This is initially a part-time, 30-hour-per-week permanent role, with support from the current lead dietitian.
As a Dietitian, you will be:
* Involved in developing a needs-led service.
* Providing both individual and group dietetic clinical services.
* Conducting assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes according to individual care pathways, promoting self-maintenance, productivity, and leisure.
* Planning and delivering interventions collaboratively with patients.
* Maintaining accurate patient records, including care notes and reports, following hospital and professional standards.
* Establishing effective communication with patients, carers, staff, and other agencies.
* Implementing evidence-based therapeutic activities to support mental health recovery.
* Providing training and education as a central part of the role.
* Building and maintaining close working relationships with colleagues and external agencies.
* Contributing professionally and liaising with clinical teams and disciplines.
To be successful in this role:
* Diploma or degree in Dietetics
* HCPC Registration
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 & CPA
* Experience in a similar setting

This facility combines medium secure, low secure units, and rehabilitation flats, supporting patient recovery and rehabilitation. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide personalized assessments and treatment for males with mental illness, complex care needs, or personality disorders, including those with histories of offending or previous placement failures.
