We're hiring a Tax Reporting Manager to join our dynamic team at Woking!
The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to ensure that Corporate Tax reporting obligations for all Cencora International Group affiliates (i.e., outside the United States) are met. This includes conducting tax reporting activities (monthly, quarterly, annual) and implementing process improvements and technological efficiencies.
The candidate will work closely with the International Tax team on projects and transactions to analyze and advise on their tax implications. Additionally, there will be opportunities to gain exposure to general corporate tax and transfer pricing through compliance and planning activities.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual tax provision analysis schedules for reporting to group tax and management, using tools like Excel, PowerBI, and PowerPoint to communicate complex tax calculations effectively.
* Collaborating with the UK tax team to update tax provision calculation files for legislative changes and supporting business teams in using these files.
* Working with local finance teams to understand and reconcile local tax provisions and statutory effective tax rates.
* Maintaining a tax risk register and overseeing provisions related to uncertain tax positions and central computations.
* Supporting the integration of new businesses into the group, including setting up tax reporting processes and liaising on purchase price allocations.
* Compiling information and assisting with US Tax Forms 5471, 8858, and 8975, coordinating with local finance teams.
* Working with IT and finance to ensure accounting systems produce accurate, timely data for tax reporting, and seeking continuous process improvements.
* Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley controls over income tax reporting for non-U.S. operations.
* Designing data gathering and processing workflows using Office 365 tools to automate manual tasks and enhance report quality.
* Supporting the International Tax team in analyzing the tax impacts of legislation, M&A, audits, and planning scenarios.
* Assisting with general corporate tax and transfer pricing matters as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
* Undergraduate degree and professional qualification such as Chartered Accountant or CPA.
* Strong work ethic, accountability, and ownership mindset.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.
* Good IT skills with an interest in using technology for efficiency.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to multitask, work independently, and be a self-starter.
Preferred Skills:
* Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
* Advanced Excel skills, including PowerQuery; familiarity with automation tools and Office 365 suite.
* Experience navigating ERP systems like Oracle, SAP, or COGNOS.
Experience:
* Knowledge of tax reporting concepts and experience in international accounting firms or multinational companies.
* Understanding of U.S. tax laws affecting international operations, including the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act of 2017.
The role may require some travel.
