A growing and forward-thinking law firm with a strong reputation in claimant litigation. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join the Manchester-based team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, handling a varied caseload while benefiting from hybrid working and clear progression opportunities.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of Housing Disrepair matters from inception to conclusion, including both pre- and post-litigation cases. The role will involve:
* Running a caseload of Housing Disrepair files under the Pre-Action Protocol
* Drafting pleadings, witness statements, schedules of works and schedules of loss
* Issuing and progressing claims through the County Court where required
* Liaising with clients, experts, counsel and opposing parties
* Ensuring compliance with CPR, deadlines and internal procedures
* Delivering a high standard of client care at all times
The Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Solicitor with solid experience in Housing Disrepair
* Strong understanding of Housing Disrepair claims and litigation process
* Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision
* Confident communicator with excellent client care skills
* Organised, proactive and commercially aware
