Job overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen in our friendly neurology/stroke department, to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to the post of Stroke audit administrator. The role is pivotal in providing data to aid improvements for patients diagnosed with stroke.
Working within the Stroke team, the Audit Administrator would be predominantly responsible for collecting and inputting data to the National Stroke database (SSNAP) and internal databases. These mainly focus on: Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP) and Patient Experience.
Main duties of the job
To carry out your duties, you will need to be a self-motivated individual with great attention to detail and have excellent administrative skills.
Accuracy is essential to this role, ensuring the that our audit data and processes are compliant.
Organizing and supporting on regular Stroke data quality and service development meetings; this includes minute taking, sharing of learning points, recording actions and circulation to team members.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder will lead in obtaining and submitting stroke patient data to SSNAP, this will involve liaison with clinicians and departments across the organization to obtain medical records and assess suitability for submission to SSNAP .
Reviewing of patient medical records for relevant medical information relating to patients treatment.
The post holder will act as the point of contact for the Trust for any queries relating to SSNAP submission.
Distribution of reports to the relevant clinicians for review on a regular basis.

Payment for DBS checks for bank posts must be settled prior to commencement. Apprentices are exempt from DBS payment.
