The Role
We are looking for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to work within our Mental Health Services with our integrated multidisciplinary teams to help individuals improve wellbeing, independence and daily functioning through graded, evidence‑based OT interventions. In the South Glasgow Community Mental Health Team, you will assess functional ability, identify support needs, manage a varied caseload and contribute to recovery‑focused care for adults with complex mental health difficulties, working closely with carers, colleagues and third‑sector partners.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern
Fulltime, permanent. Shift pattern, Monday – Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Base location, Festival Business Centre, Unit G7 and G8.
Key Responsibilities
* Mental health assessment delivering occupational therapy assessments for adults with mental health difficulties.
* Intervention delivery providing individual and group treatment programmes.
* Communication using effective verbal and written communication across the multidisciplinary team.
* Professional development engaging in supervision, training, and ongoing CPD.
* Compliance meeting PVG/Disclosure Scotland requirements and participating in preemployment checks.
Required Knowledge, Training, Qualifications and Experience
* Occupational therapy qualification Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy.
* HCPC registration current or pending.
* Mental health knowledge understanding of adult mental health conditions and appropriate interventions.
* Driving licence desirable but not essential.
