Role: Part-Time/Supply SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Kempston

Industry: Education and Training

Contract: Part-Time/Supply

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one or small group support for SEN students, adapting materials to meet individual needs.

* Assist the class teacher in creating an inclusive, engaging learning environment.
* Work closely with the SENCO and other professionals to implement personalised learning plans.
* Foster a nurturing, safe space that encourages student engagement and well-being.
* Support students during lessons, break times, and other school activities.
* Help prepare learning materials and resources.

What We’re Looking For:

* Experience working with children with SEN is highly preferred.
* Strong communication skills to connect effectively with students, staff, and parents.
* Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting diverse needs.
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are a bonus but not essential.
* Ability to adapt to different classroom challenges.
* Local to Kempston with a full driving license.
