What will you be doing
* Leading software design, development and implementation for DCS and PLC/SCADA systems
* Managing and supporting a team through the full project lifecycle
* Producing design and test documentation
* Carrying out Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
* Reviewing and checking technical work from other engineers
* Supporting and mentoring junior engineers

You’ll join a well‑established engineering business working on complex projects across energy, renewables and industrial environments. The team delivers high‑integrity control systems in regulated sectors, with a strong focus on innovation and long‑term development.
What you'll need
* Strong experience with Siemens PCS7/Neo
* Experience with at least one other PLC platform (Siemens, Rockwell or Schneider)
* SCADA experience (e.g. WinCC, Zenon, FactoryTalk or similar)
* Experience across the full project lifecycle
* Ability to produce technical specifications and test documentation
* Experience leading or mentoring engineers
* Knowledge of IEC61131 programming (ladder, FBD, SFC, structured text)
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
