About the role
Senior Care Assistant at Acacia Mews Care Home, Hertfordshire – support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care in a safe, caring, innovative, inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Responsibilities
* Monitor resident well‑being, detect changes affecting care plans and update written records accordingly.
* Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement and evaluate care plans on a monthly basis.
* Assist residents with medication requirements and carry out medication administration as needed.
* Supervise staff where appropriate and support their professional development.
* Act as the key point of contact with residents, their relatives, visitors and with health and social care professionals, ensuring timely response to requests and escalation of concerns or complaints.
Qualifications
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
* Minimum 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
* Positive attitude towards supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.
Requirements
* DBS Disclosure check – cost to be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
