IGii is looking for a QC Technician to join their expanding Quality team. The QC Technician will be focused on delivering accurate metrology testing, supporting batch release, and maintaining compliance across our quality systems and laboratory operations. Your purpose in the Role: You will ensure that all QC testing and product metrology is carried out accurately, on time, and in compliance with ISO9001, ISO45001, GMP/GLP and 5S principles. You will play a key role in batch release, incoming materials verification, equipment calibration, and continuous improvement of production and QC processes. What you will do and how you will succeed: Perform elements of QC batch release testing on finished products for internal and external customers. Complete incoming QC checks for raw materials and support supplier management activities through ongoing verification and monitoring. Support electrochemical QC testing. Deliver a full suite of metrology testing using SEM, Raman, WLI and OGP techniques, ensuring work is completed to schedule and documented to ALCOA principles. Comply with and advocate for ISO9001, ISO45001, GMP, GLP and 5S standards throughout all QC activities. Manage calibration, care and maintenance of metrology equipment, and ensure robust handling, storage and traceability of all related parts and data. Identify deficiencies in testing processes or metrology techniques and lead resolution activities, validating improvements and implementing them through Change Management. Escalate issues promptly, collaborating with cross-functional teams to investigate root causes and identify solutions. Create, update and review work instructions and documentation to maintain compliance within the Quality Management System. Undertake internal quality audits to ISO9001 and ISO45001 standards. Support the timely closure of Quality Events, CAPAs and Effectiveness Checks. Who we are looking for: Experience within a QC, metrology, laboratory or regulated technical environment. Experience in a Quality Control role, determining batch release and escalating concerning trends and failures. Experience of being involved with structured root cause analysis, carrying out quality event investigations. Relevant degree within a science discipline (Chemistry Degree preferred) or relevant experience. Understanding of electrochemistry principles would be highly advantageous, as would working within assay development projects. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross‑functionally and explain technical information clearly. Strong attention to detail, reliability and ownership of work outputs.
