The Role
Start Date: September 2025
Full-Time: Monday to Friday, 8:20am - 3:20pm
Contract: Full academic year
No planning or marking required
* Deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
* Support students with independent learning and peer activities
* Provide pastoral support and ensure a smooth handover to teaching staff

You'll be based in a successful 11-18 secondary academy located on the border of Trafford and Stockport.

Who We're Looking For
We're ideally looking for graduates with a strong academic background in Maths, Science, or Humanities, and good GCSEs (grades 6-9 / A -C in English, Maths, and Science).
We welcome experience from:
* Schools or colleges (e.g., Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support roles)
* Youth work or sports coaching
* Scouts, Guides, church or community youth groups
* Outdoor education, Duke of Edinburgh, or similar
Requirements
* A bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
* Minimum of 6 weeks' experience working with young people aged 11-16 in the last 3 years
* A referee who can confirm this experience
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
* Full employment and education history on your CV
* Legal right to work in the UK
