Role Overview
Darwin Escapes is seeking a passionate and professional Spa Therapist to join the team at Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa on a permanent part-time basis.
The successful candidate will deliver a range of high-quality spa and beauty treatments, ensuring every guest receives an exceptional and relaxing experience. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a commitment to maintaining high treatment standards, and a proactive approach to supporting the day-to-day operations of the spa.
A Level 3 NVQ in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent qualification) is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities
Spa Operations
* Prepare treatment rooms and spa areas to the highest standards before opening and between guest appointments.
* Ensure all equipment, tools and products are clean, sanitised and ready for use.
* Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the spa.
* Deliver treatments in accordance with professional training, qualifications and company standards.
* Report any equipment faults or maintenance issues promptly.
* Assist with monitoring stock levels and carrying out regular stock checks.
* Support the ordering of products and equipment in line with business requirements and budget controls.
Guest Experience
* Deliver a range of spa and beauty treatments to a consistently high professional standard.
* Provide a warm, welcoming and personalised experience for every guest.
* Conduct consultations to ensure treatments are tailored to individual guest needs.
* Promote spa treatments, packages, facilities and retail products where appropriate.
* Handle guest enquiries and bookings both in person and by telephone.
* Maintain guest comfort, satisfaction and confidentiality at all times.
* Act as a positive ambassador for Darwin Escapes, demonstrating professionalism and excellent customer service.
Team Support & Development
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of daily spa operations.
* Provide support during busy periods and contribute to a positive team environment.
* Attend training sessions and development opportunities as required.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatments, products and resort facilities.
* Demonstrate a flexible and professional approach to work.
Financial Responsibilities
* Support the achievement of spa revenue targets through treatment delivery and retail sales.
* Follow all cash handling and till procedures accurately.
* Promote special offers, treatment packages and retail products to maximise sales opportunities.
* Assist with stock control and cost management.
Administration & Compliance
* Complete consultation forms, treatment records and all administrative documentation accurately.
* Maintain strict confidentiality regarding guest information.
* Follow all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.
* Ensure personal presentation, hygiene and uniform standards are maintained at all times.
* Comply with all personnel and payroll procedures as required.

Skills & Experience
Essential
* NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy (or equivalent).
* Previous experience delivering spa and beauty treatments.
* Excellent customer service and communication skills.
* Professional, friendly and approachable manner.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable
* Experience within a hotel, resort or luxury spa environment.
* Retail sales experience.
* Additional treatment qualifications.
