Bespak is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Technician for our Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range is £41,000-£46,000, including shift premiums. Our benefits include 28 days leave plus bank holidays, an 8% company pension contribution, onsite parking, medical/dental/health/life insurance, and a discretionary annual bonus, paid annually since 2020. The working pattern is Monday to Friday, alternating weekly shifts from 6am to 2:30pm and 2pm to 10:30pm.
Job Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you will ensure our moulding, assembly, and packaging systems operate smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities include reactive repairs, scheduled maintenance, training manufacturing teams, and proposing process improvements.
Equipment and Environment
You will work on diverse equipment, mainly cam-driven assembly systems and injection moulding machines (50t-300t) with automation, directly impacting production efficiency. We operate in a pharmaceutical CDMO environment, producing medical devices such as inhalers, in a temperature-controlled, safe, and clean setting.
Key Responsibilities
1. Repair and maintain moulding, assembly, and packaging systems.
2. Perform reactive repairs and root cause investigations.
3. Schedule and execute preventative maintenance.
4. Provide maintenance training and technical advice.
5. Assist with equipment installation and validation.
6. Identify and support process improvements and procedural changes.
Qualifications and Skills
* Completed engineering or mechanical/electrical trade apprenticeship.
* Knowledge of statistical control systems and diagrams.
* Level 3 engineering, HNC, or equivalent apprenticeship.
* Experience with machine control systems, PLC, ASI, HMI, pneumatics.
* Familiarity with vision systems, pneumatics, printer/laser marking systems.
* Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Service Technician, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer, Plant Technician, or recent Maintenance Apprenticeship in manufacturing.
