Category Manager
We’re looking for a commercially driven Category Manager to take ownership of supplier strategy, product range, and category performance. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-focused professional to play a key role in driving sales growth and margin improvement within a dynamic business.
What you’ll be doing:
* Building and maintaining strong, productive relationships with suppliers
* Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing to maximise margins
* Managing product selection to ensure availability targets and timelines are met
* Presenting range strategies, performance insights, and market trends to senior stakeholders
* Monitoring competitor activity to keep your category relevant and competitive
* Collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams including sales, operations, and finance
* Managing and optimising your category budget
* Analysing sales data and performance trends to inform future product decisions
1. What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in buying or category management within retail, wholesale, distribution, or merchant environments
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* Highly numerate, with strong analytical and commercial thinking
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
