Well-regarded law firm in Reading is looking to recruit a Charities lawyer of 0 to 3 years’ PQE and our client would like to hear from any candidates who feel that they meet the requirements of this role, even if they’re at a more senior level in terms of PQE. Ideally you will have at least some experience of advising on the formation and incorporation of charities, mergers, collaborations and joint ventures and be able to advise (with supervision as required) senior management teams, boards of governors and trustees. You will also be able to draft and review contracts and agreements (including fundraising and grant agreements) and advise on wider Charities Law.
Possessing entrepreneurial instincts and spirit with the ability to collaborate closely with colleagues across a range of disciplines; referrers; clients; other firms and advisers; and the Charity Commission, is also important. You must also have the confidence to provide training to clients as and when required, and also occasionally speak at various events. Finally, you will aspire to become well-connected professionally and enthusiastic to take part in networking and helping to drive business development.
