Housekeeping Assistant Shockerwick House Care Home - Bathford, Bath, BA1 7LL CQC rating\: Good Carehome.co.uk rating\: 9.8 Salary £12.80 - £13.80 per hour depending on experience Permanent position - 24 hours available Shockerwick House is an historic building that has been lovingly converted into a care facility, offering nursing and residential care, convalescence, palliative, short stays for a minimum of one week and day care. Shockerwick House is located on the outskirts of Bath’s World Heritage Site. The magnificent 17th century house is set in twelve acres of wheelchair friendly gardens, with an orangery and vegetable plot. The beautifully appointed rooms offer plenty of areas for residents to relax or socialise in. The home has a secure entry and exit system and a 24-hour call system so that residents feel safe and secure. All bedrooms have their own TV and telephone. Special diets are catered for and the home has magnificent, oak-panelled dining rooms. Hot and cold options are included and snacks and drinks are available throughout the day and night. You’ll help us make health happen by: You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the home, working closely with our other housekeeping and maintenance staff Always ensuring our residents are kept happy, you will vacuum, mop floors, polish and generally ensure the up-keep of all communal areas and our resident’s bedrooms You’ll maintain housekeeping stocks for day to day use and raise any issues to the Housekeeping Supervisor as you go Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role: You take pride in ensuring your work is always completed to a high standard and can maintain an organised environment. Often managing multiple requests at once, you’ll be comfortable multitasking and where necessary, working with other teams to ensure our residents are kept happy in their home.
