Overview
Band 7 clinical role, full-time with part-time options considered. You need to be a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist, with demonstrable skills with the CYP client group, or the ability to transfer from adult work. We welcome applicants from minoritized backgrounds and those with an interest in increasing young people’s participation in shaping CAMHS delivery.
Our team has strong links to universities and researchers. A key advantage of secondary care is working alongside highly specialist nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists and psychotherapists. You will be well-supported with training, CPD, and opportunities for career development within a strong psychology and CBT team in Sussex CAMHS.
We operate a pathways model and hold some clinical lead responsibilities within these, including decision-making around treatment options. Familiarity with IAPT principles, ROMs and disorder-specific outcome measures is expected, as part of evaluation and team audit. Experience in training and providing consultation to other professionals is desirable.
Main duties
As a member of the CAMHS team, you would participate in core multi-disciplinary assessment and intervention work and engage in multi-agency liaison as necessary. You would participate in supervision, training and governance requirements of SPFT CAMHS. You will be part of a busy but welcoming CAMHS team offering a wide range of individual, group and systemic interventions and involvement in innovative evaluation and research projects and service developments. You would be encouraged to develop your skills and interests to meet service needs.
