Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 2PM to 10PM
Location: Grange Campus, Beech Avenue, Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire, Scotland, KA1 2EW
Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent service standards for a Mitie customer. Ensure the contract service delivery is of a high standard, meeting all SLA agreements.
* Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the caretaking role.
* Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
* Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order.
* Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
* Be responsible for proper maintenance, cleaning, security and safety within the school premises and grounds.
* Undertake cleaning of slippery floors, spillages, bodily fluids, and other emergency cleaning.
* Monitor helpdesk jobs and address/close within assigned timelines and SLAs.
* Act as key holder and unlock/lock buildings to provide access to relevant parties as required.
* Carry out planned and ad hoc porterage in line with SLAs and school requests.
* Keep internal and grounds areas free from litter.
* Act as first attendee to all helpdesk jobs and resolve or feedback requirements.
* Empty external/internal bins.
* Set up rooms for Examinations / school functions and return to usual layout afterward.
* Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as required and in line with statutory compliance, including weekly fire alarm and sprinkler tests and monthly emergency light flick tests.
* Cover out of hours usage of the building on a rota system.
* Ensure access is provided for contractors and contractors are escorted if DBS clearance is not available.
* Ensure safeguarding policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with Mitie policy.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Undertake any other related duties within the job holder's capability, according to the needs of the business.

* Capable of working to their own initiative where appropriate.
