We are looking for a part-time GP to join our friendly, dynamic and supportive team at our thriving practice in the beautiful village of Saxilby. About Us
We are a GMS practice consisting of 1 GP Partner, 2 Salaried GPs and 2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners. Our patient list is approximately 4,100. SystmOne is our clinical system. The main surgery is based in Saxilby and we also have a branch surgery in Torksey. We are a training practice working with training GPs and medical students.

Job Responsibilities
* Make yourself available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
* Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self‑referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.
* Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
* Provide counselling and health education.
* Admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload and refer to other care providers as appropriate.
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes.
* Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions, avoiding hand‑written prescriptions whenever possible.
* Prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever clinically appropriate.
* Undertake all normal duties and responsibilities associated with a GP working within primary care.
* Maintain awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety).
* Commit to life‑long learning and audit to ensure evidence‑based best practice.
* Contribute to evaluation, audit and clinical standard setting within the organisation.
* Contribute to the development of computer‑based patient records and summarising of patient records and read‑coding patient data.
* Attend training and events organised by the practice or other agencies, where appropriate.
* Respect patient confidentiality and ensure all sensitive information is kept strictly confidential.
* Implement and lead on a full range of health & safety and infection control procedures as defined in the practice policies.
* Actively identify, report, and correct health and safety hazards and infection hazards immediately when recognised.
* Support equality, diversity and rights of patients, carers and colleagues, respecting privacy, dignity, and beliefs.
* Participate in personal and professional development activities, including an annual performance review and continuous education to meet PREP requirements.
* Maintain quality within the practice by alerting team members to issues, assessing own performance, and contributing to team effectiveness.
* Communicate effectively with team members, patients and carers, and adapt communication methods to meet their needs.
* Apply practice policies, standards and guidance, discuss with team members how they affect work, and participate in audit where appropriate.
