Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, helping them to develop essential skills through engaging educational activities. This position requires a commitment to educating and inspiring children, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Duties
Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
Observe and assess each child's progress, adjusting teaching methods to meet individual needs.
Facilitate engaging activities that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and social interaction.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and attendance.
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices.
Recruiting new staff and doing staff supervisions/appraisals/regular observations for well-being and practice
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and educational regulations.
Keep policies and procedures up to date
Checking and updating EHCP's, IEPs, support plans and maintaining them whilst feeding back to parents and staff.
Administration tasks
Creating children records for admissions
Organising parent and staff meetings/ training etc
Requirements
A recognised qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
Commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children in your care.
