Seventeen Group are pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity to join the People (Human Resources) Team as a full time Trainee People Assistant - a key role supporting the delivery of people-focused services across our business.
This position plays a key part in supporting a wide range of people-related activities and high-quality administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth and efficient running of our operations. The role will include taking on Assistant duties which includes but not limited to, paternal processes, right to work checks, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and taking ownership of important internal projects. The candidate will be required to have a strong focus on attention to detail and responsiveness to the needs of the organisation—ensuring alignment with our internal processes and best practices.
The successful candidate will join a well-established, fast-paced, and supportive team that values collaboration, growth, and a proactive approach. They will be hands-on across a variety of areas—from day-to-day People administration to helping drive positive employee experiences across the Group, as well as completing ad-hoc projects.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
* Managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience for all staff members.
* Conducting employee inductions and exit interviews to support seamless transitions and gather valuable feedback for continuous improvement.
* Ensuring internal systems are kept up to date aswell as ensuring personnel files are kept in good working order.
* Supporting absence management, promoting employee wellbeing and compliance with company policies.
* Providing administrative support during acquisitions, including a understanding and application of TUPE regulations.
* Monitoring employee probation periods and maintaining clear communication with management to support performance and development.
* Managing and responding to queries through the People ticketing system, ensuring timely, accurate and helpful support for all incoming request.
What we're looking for:
* Willing to learn and complete HR qualification within the first 18 months.
* Willing to travel regional offices when required.
* A proactive, organised, and self-motivated mindset.
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
