Overview
Lincolnshire County Council (LCC) is recruiting registered nurses or midwives to participate in its Student Health Visitor training programme. The programme offers a funded route into Health Visiting, combining academic study and supervised community practice. You will work towards autonomous Health Visitor practice within an integrated Children’s Health team across diverse Lincolnshire communities.
Responsibilities
* Apply to Sheffield Hallam University for the SCPHN (Health Visitor) Level 7 course.
* Complete 50% practice and 50% theory to qualify.
* Commit to full‑time work and study, including extensive travel for placements, training venues, and family visits.
* Prepare for autonomous Health Visitor practice upon qualification.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse or Midwife.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Relevant community experience (ideal).
* Fluency in spoken English (Fluency Duty).
Post‑qualification commitment
After qualification, you will be required to remain employed in a Children’s Services Health Visitor role for a minimum of 12 months. Early departure may trigger a repayment fee for Council‑funded pay.
