Job title: NDT Operator
Salary: £34,887 (plus shift premium if applicable)

What you’ll be doing:
1. Performing X-Rays and detailing any findings in line with standard operating procedure (SOP) requirements.
2. Evaluating and sentencing products according to acceptance standards.
3. Supporting internal and external audits, and quality investigations into product concerns.
4. Supporting the X-Ray team in training new operators.
5. Adhering to site Health & Safety policies, local rules, and Radiation Protection Supervisor (RPS) guidance.
6. Using equipment and software to carry out inspections effectively.
Your skills and experiences:
* Hold or have held EN4179, ISO9712, SNT, or PCN Level 2 accreditation in any NDT method.
* Ability to work altered shift patterns including days, afternoons, nights, long days, or continental shifts.
* Willingness to learn and achieve Level 2 X-Ray accreditation.
* Experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment.
* Apprenticeship/BTEC in manufacturing or mechanical engineering.
* Holding EN4179, ISO9712, SNT, or PCN Level 2 X-Ray accreditation.

The X-Ray team:
As an NDT operator, you will join a small but growing team working on munitions products for the BAE Systems Land UK customer. Reporting to a Process Leader with support from the X-Ray Manager, you will work on a long-term program alongside other operators. There are opportunities for development and growth, including further qualifications and certifications such as X-Ray Level 2.
